BREAKING: Ekweremadu, wife found guilty of organ trafficking Mar 23, 2023 A former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife, Beatrice, have been found guilty of organ trafficking in the United Kingdom. The duo alongside their daughter, Sonia, and a medical doctor, Dr. Obinna Obeta, were found guilty of facilitating the travel of a young man to Britain with a view to his exploitation after a six-week trial at the Old Bailey. They criminally conspired to bring the 21-year-old Lagos street trader to London to exploit him for his kidney, the jury found on Thursday. The judge, Justice Jeremy Johnson, will pass a sentence at a later date, The Guardian UK reports.

Head Girl of Shepherd's International College Akwanga (SICA) in Nasarawa State, Keren Wakayi has emerged as a “Super Star Student” in the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB).  Keren scored a total of 309 points from the four (4) subjects she registered in the Examination.  A teacher simply identified as Maroc who made this known in a Facebook post on Monday, said she applied to study MBBS in the University of Jos, Plateau State.  The teacher therefore appealed to the state government to offer scholarship to indigenous students who scored 300 points and above in UTME to study special courses in the country's tertiary institutions.  This, Maroc said “will enhance competition amongst secondary school students and thereby enhancing the quality of our education in the State”.  He added that SICA had over the years distinct itself in producing 300 scores and above in UTME.  T...
